Fieldwork 

Some of my early dissertation work involves fieldwork in the Parting Member of the Chaffee Group in central and southwestern Colorado. The Parting represents a shallow marine to marginal, sarcopterygian-dominated ecosystem with members of the tetrapod stem, dipnomorpha, placoderms, and ctenacanths. Since 2023, I have been leading annual trips to several new localities in this formation, collecting vertebrate fossils from this undersampled region.​
